How to get started with player-to-player trading
Hi all,
I just started playing GW a week or so ago, and recently found out that each account can get 10 free Zaishen Keys. I've heard that these sell for a fair amount each, so as I've reached the Eye of the North I wanted to sell the keys in order to afford some perfect armour. I'm not really sure how I would go about finding a buyer for these keys, though. I've heard that Kamadan is the main trade hub, but I don't know where that is. (My character started in Prophecies, but I have reached Lions Arch and unlocked world travel, I'm just not sure how hard it would be to get to Kamadan). Should I be heading there anyway, or do I stand a decent chance of finding a buyer in Lion's Arch? And what's the general procedure for selling? Do I just put "WTS 10 x Z-Keys" in the trade chat and wait? Do people generally expect a discount for buying in bulk, or is there anything else I should know? (And could I get a price check on what to expect for my keys, before someone offers me 100 gold each?) TIA |

-Kamadan is in Elona (the location of the Nightfall campaign). To get there, complete the 'Sunspears in Kryta' quest from Lion's Arch. It may be difficult to complete however (EotN heroes and perhaps some guildies/randoms will help). Kamadan is the port city of Elona, so that's where you'll arrive once travel there is unlocked.
-If you can't get to Kamadan, the Great Temple of Balthazar can be a good place to sell as well. It should be automatically available as a travel location (via boat). You may also find buyers in LA, though it's not really a trading town like it used to be. -'WTS 10 zkeys' is fine. -Prices nowadays are about 5-6k each. People may also want to trade for Globs of Ectoplasm ('ectos') at the price of 1e=2z, which is also fair. -10 of anything is not considered to be a bulk trade. Generally you need a stack of something (250) before you can start thinking about that kind of stuff. Also, not sure if this was your intention or not, but you should really avoid EotN until you've completed at least one campaign. Using the armor crafter at Boreal Station and grabbing a few heroes is ok, but EotN is designed as high level content and will likely be too difficult at your level/experience.
